I promised joduinn to look into the state of the automation since it's been some time since we did a 2.0.0.x release. We used 
  automation_tag = "RELEASE_AUTOMATION_M15"
for Tb 2.0.0.23 in August 2009.  For the just completed Fx3.0.18 we used RELEASE_AUTOMATION_M15_1, which only differs by attachment 417763 [details] [diff] [review] on bug 531813. We should use that for Tb 2.0.0.24 too (mozilla/tools/buildbot-configs/automation/production/tb-master.cfg).

There's no unusual changes in fx-moz19-bootstrap.cfg since Aug '09 to port over; we'd just make the usual version bumps to tb-moz18-bootstrap.cfg and make sure to switch from PDT to PST for the pullDate's.

Good to go.

Attachment: Fix symbol path in automation config

Win32 build bombed out trying to publish to the symbol server. The path to the mount on stage changed - Fx3.0 and later use another method to publish and are not affected.

Actually, it turns out that fx3.0 and later push to 
   dm-symbolpush01.m.o:/mnt/netapp/breakpad/symbols_ffx
ie the mount point I moved the tb release away from, but on another dm-symbolpush01 rather than stage.

fyi: from offline emails, looks like TB2.0.0.24 will go to beta on Friday 3/5, and go to release on Friday 3/12. 

nthomas has been driving the release to date, but explicitly do not want nthomas working during his NZ weekend. Just noting that we will need clean handover to someone else in RelEng before Friday.

Mike, I think this is what we want to revoke the throttle MoMo put on their major update, and so allow 2.0.0.23 users on beta to go up to .24.

Mike, this is removing throttling for Thunderbird 2.0.0.23 -> .24 updates on the release channel. The plan is to release .24 on Monday 15th. The MoMo guys want to throttle 2.0.0.24 -> 3.0.3 to begin with, so this just moves the throttle up there and re-throttles beta.
